Add Option for Local Sounds on V3
ddd eeee
I like how much faster v3 is on everything, but local sound at least as a option is needed.
1 issue you could Easily solve for a lot of people by doing this, would be transferring their setup and sounds from v2 to v3. Also I'd like to be able to add custom sounds without needing to upload them everytime I do...
Local sounds allow for my options, longer custom sounds, and easy editing. Atm if any other options with similar latency and features appears with local sound option, I'll probably be swapping even though I already paid for this.

I fully agree. I do not like the shift towards making everything cloud based, and with that the limit on lengths and size. This is why I'm going to stay with V2 until it's dead

V3 Soundboards vs V2 Soundboards

I do not like how V3 requires you to upload sounds. There should be an option for both uploading and local sound. I much prefer V2 for this very reason. Putting my Data on other websites just feels bad. Id like to retain full control over my own audio files.

We should not be forced to upload sounds to add them to the soundboard

DO NOT UPLOAD COPYRIGHTED CONTENT IT VERY WELL COULD GET YOU PROSECUTED FOR COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT SINCE IT WILL BE PUBLICLY AVAILABLE ON THE CLOUD
Doing this shit deters people from upgrading to VoiceMod V3 since there's potential liability for things that are uploaded to your servers from a legal standpoint. Not that I condone any of those activities, whether they be piracy, the use of derogatory content, etc. Sometimes people just want to use sounds with their friends and don't want that shit uploaded to the cloud, where they can be scrutinized and potentially prosecuted. I've been a user of Voicemod since before the Lifetime key came out in its early access. The app has done amazingly, and I wish not to see it fail, but I don't need to be trying to upload my sound files to your server just to use the damn soundboard. You are not only inhibiting your customers' ability to use the application itself, but you are also posing a risk of your very customers being cherry-picked by organizations trying to enforce anti-copyright infringement measures. You are also setting yourself up for potential litigation, considering people can upload just about anything they want to your cloud servers, which can be potentially used by other individuals. Also, if people do use copyrighted audio, they can very well be prosecuted for having copyrighted content, and people who, even though they paid for the damn song, could still be in the crosshairs and potentially have to fight off a legal battle that YOU set them up for by doing this dumb shit. Are you really sure you want to dedicate the resources to moderating what users upload to your cloud server? It's publicly available for everyone and, as far as I'm aware, Spain still participates in enforcing Copyright Laws from outside the country. If an American company like UMG (Universal Music Group) decides to prosecute you because you allowed content like Not Like Us to be freely uploaded and distributed, you would face the full extent of the law. I highly advise against doing a cloud service like this, where users are forced to upload the content, since now not only is the user who uploaded the content legally liable to be prosecuted, but you are too for letting it happen. Roblox got its ass handed to it by multiple government bodies for copyright infringement due to its lax policies on uploaded sound content. They decided that they were going to completely block off publicly available sound content unless your account was verified with a Government ID due to the legal strain they were facing. A lot of people stopped bothering with that shit altogether due to the potential for legal repercussions. You now put yourself in the same boat by hosting a public sound library that Pro customers now have to upload to. You are setting your customers up for legal prosecution with this dumb idea that only has 1 good feature, maybe 2 (in my opinion). I haven't even bothered to download the mobile app after I found out you HAD to upload content to the cloud. I'm really glad I didn't bother uploading music that was copyrighted; otherwise, my ass could very well have faced potential legal battles where I'd have to defend myself and provide proof that I did in fact purchase the content and legally had a right to use it. Nobody who uses your soundboard can use any copyrighted material. This was a dumb feature, and you should make it an optional thing instead of forcing users to upload the content they want to use. VoiceMod V3 can suck it as of right now. I will not be using it, and I will be downgrading to VoiceMod V2 until this changes, since then I'll at least be able to use the fucking soundboard the way I want to without fear of legal repercussions or lost internet signal. Thanks, VoiceMod, you really fucked us over good.

"Local sounds allow for more* options" was what that line was meant to say. Idc if you hide it in the settings or something, but allowing a local soundboard on top of the online stuff and other features you already have would be awesome.
