Add Built-in & Website Changelog for Better Update Transparency
Khoirul Anam
Hello Voicemod Team,
I’d like to suggest an improvement that I believe would enhance the user experience and transparency when using the Voicemod app.
Currently, the changelog or update log is only visible briefly when an update is released. However, after updating, there's no easy way to revisit or review what changes were made—especially for users like me who often skip reading the changelog and just update straight away.
To address this, I suggest two things:
- Add a Built-in Changelog Section in the App:
- Include a dedicated section in the app (for example, under Settings or Help) where users can view the latest changelog or past update logs.
- This makes it easier for users to track what has changed in the app over time—whether it’s bug fixes, new features, voice packs, UI updates, or performance improvements.
- Create a Dedicated Changelog Web Page:
- A public-facing changelog page on the official Voicemod website where updates are consistently posted and archived.
- This would help users (especially content creators, streamers, and testers) to stay informed even when they’re not in the app.
These additions would not only improve transparency but also build trust and engagement within the community, as users can easily track how the app evolves over time.
Thanks for considering this! I really enjoy using Voicemod and would love to see this kind of improvement implemented.
Best regards,
Shizuya

Changelog & previous versions
NorthernLaw
There needs to be a dedicated page to the Voicemod changelog with ability to download previous versions which makes it super easy if users want an older version or need to revert back to a previous version in case of a massive bug which has in fact happened to me more than once with Voicemod. It's unfortunate but it is what it is. This changelog should be on your website. There should also be a changelog located within the app itself which appears upon updating to a new version and it will tell you EXACTLY what changed. You can also view this changelog at any time from within the app by going to either the "about Voicemod" tab or the general settings page. To download older versions perhaps it would bring you to the browser tab of the website.
In the "about Voicemod" tab you can view your version, but under the "general" tab in settings, you should also be able to view what version you are currently on, as well as a button that says "Check for updates" and then upon clicking that it will say "already on latest version, checked 3 seconds ago" or something like that. Or if not updated "Newer version available, Download HERE" as a button
Also a checkbox that would auto check for updates upon launching the app would be nice that you could turn on or off.
These are all things I'd expect from an app like this. I might be mistaken in that some already exist and some don't but these all definitely need to be a thing and would be very useful for many users including myself. I know I could have used these many times and still could now. I recognize there are other posts saying similar things to this but I feel as though this post encapsulates everything in one since they are all extremely similar things.

CYCLONE YT There are currently two versions of Voicemod, which one are you on?
CYCLONE YT
coke yes, 3.0 in my phone
And 2.5 in my pc

CYCLONE YT PC version 2.51 will no longer receive any updates. When we have a migration support tool, we will write to v2 users to upgrade to v3. In v3 the update is constant, as with Discord, at every opening.

coke So should I just wait? Because I saw on the official profile the girl using the new voices, I tried to access the voicemod website to see some way to update and nothing

CYCLONE YT You can download Voicemod v3 from the web by logging in with a different email address (for the moment, for regular v2 users, the server serves Voicemod v2).

but I think I understand

I'll stay on v2 until v3 drops for me because I bought lifetime access

CYCLONE YT Voicemod v2 lifetime access gives you lifetime access to Voicemod v3.
