Constantly having to update, but I already have the version? Voicemod V3
ProGamer20x
I am constantly having to install/reinstall an update on my computer every day. Each day I turn off my computer and turn it back on, I am asked to update to 3.12.14, but I already have it. It keeps saying I have a prior version 3.11 something. I'll click update, then it says to reinstall or cancel. It is annoying and have not been able to find a fix. Any ideas (besides the obvious uninstall/reinstall), I would greatly appreciate it.

In any case, it's a known issue:
To avoid annoying updates, Voicemod has an automatic update system using an initial launcher that checks for updates, silently installs any needed updates, and runs the latest installed version if none are available.
If the user pins Voicemod once it has opened, they are pinning the latest version that opens the launcher, so it stops opening the launcher itself. So in the next update, you will get an annoying warning that you have to install, and what is worse, even if you update, you will reopen the previous version, which is the one you have pinned in the taskbar.
Another option is that you have been updating Voicemod since before we released the launcher and you still don't have it installed.
Please, follow these steps:
Check what version of Voicemod you have installed in Windows (you should have a version 1.4.X, if you have a version 3.X.X.X you have to uninstall it and install the latest version of the launcher that you will find here: https://www.voicemod.net/en/dwl/app/ ).
On the other hand, unpin Voicemod from your taskbar and make sure you pin the launcher and not the latest version of Voicemod.
If you are prompted to update it has to be for one of these two reasons.

CONSTANTLY NEEDS UPDATED!
Brendon Wriston
I have voicemod setup to run on start up and it is constantly asking for me to update the application. i have recently and completely uninstalled and reinstalled voicemod and it worked for a couple of days but now it back to the same old gimmicks. I have read through the Q&A and I don't have voicemod pinned to the task bar or even have a desktop icon for it. I do really enjoy this app and would like to continue using this app but if this "app requires update" persists then I'm no longer interested in this application. Let the "We know this is an issue and has been for a while" responses begin.

In addition, DeeMarG, it seems that you have a freezing problem, which you should be able to solve by disabling this option and restarting Windows.

Voicemode asks me to do an update every time I launch
Quentin Lesieur
It's systematic, as soon as I start my PC, voicemode asks me to do an update (sometimes already installed) to start... Is it possible to install updates from within the application, rather than at startup?
