Feedback on V3, Bring back V2
complete
Quicksilver1034
First, the automatic update didn't work breaking voicemod and needing to update manually to V3 by reinstalling voicemod. Then the disappointment of 1. nothing being saved over from V2 such as: personalized soundboards, community sfx and voices, and purchases (luckily I used it completely free). 2. Downloaded mp3's and such no longer working with V3 and apparently now need to be run through some other website to be used which is tedious and will likely limit time on them (for example, I had some 30-50min personal uploaded song track mp3's that would now be probably forced to be cut down when they worked fine on V2). And 3. The layout, accessibility, and overall simplicity that was perfect on V2, have now gone to shit. As much as I hate to I am logging out of my account and uninstalling this now dogshit app until it is confirmed either everything, and I mean everything, is fixed or they fully bring back V2 and decide not to make any more horrible decisions such as this update.

Dear Voicemod v2 users,
As you experienced, a week ago we had a problem in the v2 service and Voicemod v2 started in a loop. Unfortunately, two days before we had made a change in our website to serve to all users trying to download Voicemod (usually new users) our future v3 version in which we are working and that as you have seen still does not have a migration tool for your content and is missing some features compared to v2.
This caused that many of you, in the absence of information from us, tried to solve the problem by going to our website, downloading and installing our latest version (v3), losing your content (some of you even your pr0 status) and/or missing some features. We are deeply sorry for this.
Fortunately, we are writing to share with you that the problem in v2 was corrected, but we had to develop a new version 2.51 to be able to use it again. You can find it at this link:
https://account.voicemod.net/#/?action=download&forcev2=true
If you did not uninstall Voicemod or you uninstalled Voicemod v2 and did not prompt it to delete your content, installing version 2.51 will recover everything automagically.
If you uninstalled Voicemod and in the process of uninstalling, you deleted your content and did not make any backups... unfortunately you will not be able to recover your content. We are deeply sorry again.
If you have any doubts about the above, if you can't install version 2.51 or if you are not able to start it, or if you want to share with us your discomfort about what happened or any other feedback, please let us know. Please, write us to our Support form:
https://voicemod.net/support
We will reply one by one to everyone.
Finally, if you want to keep v3 installed and keep testing it, you can continue to do so regardless of whether you want to continue using v2. After this message I will reply to all your comments in this request.

Old Version Was Better
Mistabonez (Jason)
I'm very disappointed with the latest update. The previous version I had on Windows 10 worked perfectly. How could you spend so much time on the visual aspect of the app and neglect to make it intuitive? This seems like a lazy approach, and I'm upset that I spent money on this and can't even revert to the older version. This is a significant step backward. One of the most basic tasks that should be easy to perform is renaming a new soundboard. I can't even figure out how to do that. I will continue to provide feedback for every improvement I can think of until someone responds and improves the app.
Mistabonez (Jason)
I agree with the previous poster. The changes in V3 are not an improvement. V2 was perfect, and I would like to see Voicemod just build upon that foundation.

Bad update
Retro Addict
While all the new stuff is great. The layout is more complicated for me as a avid user of this software. You cant add all files at once for soundboards which is what I do for sounds and music. The limit to songs being not able to go over 10 minutes is bad for me. The plus button for the sound board is not working and there is no import to add my old sound files back. Not to mention all of the community voices is missing almost all of the voices I saved before so that is really pathetic for me to see, please keep the nice new look of the app but put back all the old stuff as that was so much better...

Retro Addict Thanks for your feedback, but just a reminder: this is for making specific requests not several at once. If you have feedback, a doubt, an issue, need help or have found a bug (like what you said about the plus button), please write to us at www.voicemod.net/support

Hello voicemod! Lifetime versions locked behind new pro features.
c
christopher
I purchased a lifetime license for this application and the new desktop version has distinctly fewer controls for all voices I don't like so-called upgrades that give you less control over the product you're using. That's aside from the chronic issues of having your program installed and having it have conflicts with microphones on the system in the first place I noticed numerous discord drops and sound issues that went away when I uninstalled your program I reinstalled recently and discovered that you have gone down an even worse Rd. of giving your users even fewer controls, this is once again going to prompt and immediate uninstall I know you don't really care that much because you've already got my money for the lifetime license but you are prohibiting me from actively using your product by making it worse.

In any case, your purchase that worked in Voicemod v2, works (or should work) in Voicemod v3. If it doesn't work, follow this advice:

Layout change??
Mad Turkey Productions
I preferred the previous layout of Voice mod. it was much easier to navigate and use. this version is too difficult to use while in vr, which is where I use voice mod.

coke thanks for the update. Kinda disappointed that most things are behind the paywall now in v2.5, but if I go Pro and everything works again it'll be worth it. At least the program actually opens on my computer now.
