I changed over to SmoredBoard after these guys canned V2. It’s a little stiffer, but it has a lot of built in editing options, additional features, yadda.
If you just want a soundboard to just DO sounds with, Smored is a really good alternative, and it’s still being developed, I’ll be or slowly.

I imported my V2 file last night and sorted through my voices. I open up V3 today and find it has deleted my progress. wtf….

I bought voicemod sometime around 2020 and loved v2, kept my yearly subscription for support, but no more.
shutting down the servers has ruined any hope I had for this app.
pushing ai, lower quality, bugs, no custom soundboards, no 8+ minute sounds I could go on.
V3 is not an upgrade, never was an upgrade

I haven't really liked V3 as much as i wanted to which is why i haven't migrated.
Just yesterday my V2 install was still working but i'm assuming they shut down the login server for that. I was using V2 for roughly 2 years after they killed it off.
I liked it because i was able to use my macros to spam funny memes that me and my friends have made and V3 Doesn't trigger them nearly as fast enough there's some sort of a delay
In vr i cant trigger my sound board like i use to
I hate the Experience V3 has Forced on me since now...
I may choose another Alternative if A the AI Slop continues or B another Third party does what i like for cheap. however i do have a pro life time account but i may be leaving it in the past as im an Audio Engineer i could likely have better available tools to do the same stuff.
Sad day for me and likely Sad Day for me to leave behind what was my favorite version of voicemod. I'm unsure if ill continue using it at this point. Ive lost all of my sounds, their community page censors 90 percent of the memes I'm looking up its just not enjoyable to use voicemod anymore...
However i paid for this to be permanent and i wont be closing my account its just when i find an alternative to this to do what i use to ill likely be leaving this behind.
As a content creator this Forced migration was NOT enjoyable by any means. im angry and not pleased at all.

V3 is awful. V2 was fine and honestly much faster and less clunky. Getting several seconds of delay and it just sounds like shit compared to V2. Trying my best to make it work but honestly give us V2 back or just give a refund.

The last thing I expected was to have a working piece of software that I PAID FOR completely disabled. I did NOT want V3 due to all the AI slop added to it. V2 worked perfectly fine for me.
There was no specific warning that V2 was going to be completely disabled, just that there were going to be no new upgrades and there was no more news items. That's fine. I don't need an upgrade for something that works perfectly fine. I don't need news on an old version. I DO need it to continue working as it had before.
Regardless, since I can no longer access the software that I, and I repeat, PAID FOR, I will be uninstalling this and putting this company and its principals on my permanent boycott list of companies that cheat their customers out of their purchases.
If this is the kind of goodwill you intended to engender, then I imagine you have succeeded splendidly.
With that, I bid you adieu.
