High RAM usage in the background
Gabriel Rosas (Shato)
I have been using voicemod for years and voicemod v3 for about a month. I have now noticed that Voicemod's Qt QtWebEngineProcess slowly starts building up RAM usage over the day, it starts at a couple of MB and it ramped up to over 5gb in the course of 24hrs, as soon I closed voicemod, this process ram usage went to 0, and after opening it again it started going up again.

Adding my experience here as instructed by support on reddit:
(More Info on this Issue) I've had this issue for a while now, I recently Upgraded from 16gb of RAM, and Notice this is still an issue as of 1/06/2025, possibly some kind of memory leak: while on 16gb I always noticed it was a consistent statistic when it happens, restarting doesn't fix it, I don't use any specific sounds or voices (I use voicemod because it makes my mic sound a little better and the occasional soundboard use it nice.) but while on 16gb ram (16Gb 3200Mhz cl 16) qt webengine would appear and start chugging anywhere from 1.2gb of RAM to 5 and at most that I've seen, 6Gb of my ram, clearly not ideal for just microphone software.
Once I upgraded to 64Gb (64Gb 3600Mhz CL18) recently, I notice yep this is still an issue and now it is using 12Gb of RAM as of writing, so relatively the same percentage of available RAM but still not Ideal and I have no idea why a webengine process would even need near that amount especially when the client using webengine is VoiceMod, so not sure what's going on here but that's all the valuable information I can think to share for now.

VoiceMod3 may have memory leak

I've been using Voicemod V3 for about 2 or 3 weeks now, and every so often I will just have to manually crash and relaunch it as it will eat up more and memory over time. The program reaches upwards of 1.7kMB of memory usage, when it starts significantly open.
