Migration tool from v2 to v3
IndyGibb
I just got Voicemod V3, and was very sad to see there wasn't an easy way to port my custom soundboard from V2 to V3. I am a pro member and I have 71 sounds on the soundboard, and I am currently going through the process of manually finding the data files from V2, changing them to .mp3 files, and importing them to V3, changing the names and adding the pictures. For how useful and good of a software Voicemod is, the lack of this feature for those porting is really a downfall. It was also very difficult to find the link to download V3, which I wanted to get to use with the mobile app.

Using the given file from the previous-gen Voicemod, you can import the soundboards to the Voicemod V3, which would be very helpful.

Transfer v2 sounds to v3

The ability transfer sounds from Voicemod v2 to Voicemod v3. Having to do it 1 by 1 is very time consuming.

No import from v2?? Are you Serious?

I get that v3 just released, so this may be down the line, but really? The least you could do, is let me import my custom shortcuts, and soundboard shenanigans, and streamdeck madness, so that I don't have to spend literal hours to get back to normal. Starting fresh is a terrible slap to the face of every pro user. So no thanks. Uninstalling and not upgrading until importing from v2 is possible, and advertised in the v2 interface. That's basic stuff when you're making a "live service" app guys! Super Basic ask that should not even have to be said!

We are working o a solution as we speak, it will make things easier to migrate for those who have many sounds on V2, once in V3 all sounds will be stored in the cloud and this problem will be solved for ever 💪

Appreciate it.

Alex Is this going to be done still?
Alex
Hulktorbot yes 🙂 no ETA though, but I’ve are working on that solution , no worries. Things take time 💪

Not being able to import my old soundboard here is dealbreaker tbh, i dont have most of the mp3's anymore to manually upload and id prefer to be offline anyway. from what ive seen around the sentiment is mutual across the board, v3 is only good for people not already using it

Import/export settings do not appear in the general settings tab

I went to update my voicemod to the latest version and exported my settings from the old launcher. After installing the new one, the settings just don't exist in the V3 app. Nowhere to be found at all. Major problem for anyone who's been a long-time user

this is absolute dogshit software. if that one dude doesnt take you to court for damages, i will. I do not want a downgrade. I want my files locally on my PC. I paid for a pro version on my other account. Not a downgrade dogshit version with less features that i actually use on a daily basis. I will fully intend to sue the company for damages if this is not resolved

What. No import???
Kai
I recently switched from the old voicemod app to the new one and I am extremely disappointed. I was UNABLE to import my old voicemod sounds and voices to the new one. This is important, because I don't save all of the sounds I imported into voicemod, there's just too many (I literally have 150+). Because of the update, I now have none of my saved sounds or voices. That is SO annoying.

add an import function for V2 soundboard collections to V3 no one wants to have to rebuild a board from scratch
