So we currently have the ability to fade the start or end of a clip in the soundboard. But will we have an option to fade in or out when a sound is being resumed/paused?

Jakob Brozén I'm afraid not. But I think you should make a separate request for this.

coke Ok, this is much more important for podcasters and dungeonmasters, this makes live mixing possible. The fade in and out that we have now is something that can easily be done before uploading the sound. If you spend a couple minutes in free software like Audacity.

Jakob Brozén Yes, I get it. Please create a separate request.

Although it is planned to be included as a setting inside the Inspector (it will be when we consider it COMPLETED) and it will be possible to adjust it to your needs (currently the logic is: 20% of the sound duration (for sounds less than 5") or a 1 second fade for the rest), it is already possible in Voicemod, since version 3.11.55, to apply a fade in and/or out (and many other options!!!) to your sounds.

Fade in, fade out, crossfade
Dean Truax
Bought this app yesterday and I love it! Missing one thing though, and that's fading. I'd like to make the default when I hit the Stop button at the bottom to have like a 0.25-0.5 second fade. And then when I switch from one ambient sound to the next, the ability to crossfade. I saw this was mentioned several years ago on Reddit but never implemented: https://www.reddit.com/r/voicemod/comments/vzw1df/anyway_to_fade_the_volume_out_for_a_sound_on_the/
Anyway, thanks for the great app!

Where are we on implementing this?
Jakob Brozén
Im fully on board with Lee Fuller!
1 - The ability to set fade in/out times on Soundboards items.
2 - The ability to have the fade in/out be ignored after the first play of a "looped" sound. This way, if you start a "looped" soundboard item, it will fade in, but then continue to loop - like it should - without the fade in/out on the start and end of the item.
I use Voice mod for my DnD campaign and I assume many others do too. Having different background music and ambient sounds start or end abruptly takes some of the finesse away.
The only way to do this currently is to mark the sound you are about to play and manipulate the volume slider while starting or stopping it. But I use the phone app and the option isn't available there.

Jakob Brozén Thank you very much for your feedback.
The first iteration will not have the possibility to set different fade times.
As for the second option, I will comment it in case we still have time to include it.

sound fade away

I wish for the sounds to have a fade away stop to them instead of an instant stop, usually one can simply lower the volume of the sound manually but i wish it was a feature and not something to do everytime manually

Soundboard configurable fade-in/fade-out per sound

Should have an option to fade-in and/or fade out (with adjustable delay in seconds or in percentage of clip) when starting and/or stopping a soundboard sound.
