I have a very hard time with the "hear myself" functionality - it shuts down my brain and I can't talk when I'm hearing myself on a slight delay.

I think it would make so much sense in the voice lab to have a button where you can record for 15 seconds and then have it automatically playback to you what you recorded. I'm thinking of a UI experience similar to Zoom's settings for testing audio.

It will record up to X seconds, then replay what you just spoke with the current voice. Or you can cancel the recording early.
