The recent update completely changed the sound of models like Akatsume, which broke all my custom presets. It would be great to have a 'Legacy' category for older versions of these models. It's really tough to keep using this software when all my presets are altered.

Fren sadly they're dug in at this point. The "community" team for their Discord and this report forum is happily banning people that are upset about this.
Clearly there is a social agenda here. We started filing complaints so they'll be brought in line by the FTC and EU consumer rights. It is illegal to charge for a service and then intentionally materially downgrade the service regardless of any agreed terms of service.

We understand how frustrating it is when a voice you were using suddenly sounds different, becomes robotic, stops working, or when some voices/modules no longer appear in the app, especially if everything was working well before.
This is indeed a new behavior for this feature being tested in the app. As this is a test being rolled out to some users first, it may change again in the future.
Voicemod is constantly evolving, and we’re always working to improve the application so our users can have the best possible voice changer experience. During these updates and tests, some voices may sound different, some modules may behave differently, and in some cases certain voices or modules may temporarily disappear or no longer be available in the same way.
We still have a long way to go, and our list of updates, fixes, and new features is practically endless. Every day, we receive new feedback, questions, and fantastic ideas from our users, and this helps us keep improving.
That said, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try in case the issue is related to cached files or an incomplete update.
Please try the following:
- Close Voicemod completely using Task Manager
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc -> Find Voicemod -> Click End task -> Press Windows key + R
Or:
- Search for Run in the Start menu.
- Paste this path and press Enter: %LocalAppData%\VoicemodV3
- Delete the following folders: appcache
- Relaunch Voicemod.
This forces the app to update again and clears the cache without deleting your user data.
If the AI voice still sounds robotic, some voices/modules are still missing, or the behavior does not improve after these steps, there may not be much more we can change from Support at this moment, since this is related to the current voice system test/update.
However, we will collect your feedback and send it to our specialist team so they can review it together with similar reports from other users.

Yeah the new update ruined the community voices. I hope the rectify it soon. We can't even revert to previous version which sucks.

I am writing to share my serious feedback regarding the latest software update. Unfortunately, the voice modification quality has become very poor after this update.
All the voices have noticeably changed, and none of them sound good anymore. Even the voices that used to be amazing and that I specifically saved and kept have now become completely unsuitable and unusable because their sound has changed entirely. unnatural robotic and electronic AI artifact/melody in how the words are pronounced, making it instantly obvious to anyone listening from the very first second that it is artificial.
Before this update, the quality was at least acceptable and usable. However, it feels like every new update makes the realism of the voices worse instead of improving them. I really hope you address this issue and bring back or fix the natural quality of the voices in an upcoming patch.
