Add ability to trim sounds
in progress
Steve Whitcher
I often find a sound that contains the sound I want for a soundboard, but starts too early or goes on too long. It would be nice if Voicemod had trim sliders to edit where it starts and stops playing the sound, so I didn't have to manually edit the sound file before importing it.

We're just working on this. And in addition to the trimming capability we are including some other functionality. Your feedback would be very helpful.

Wow Juan Bosch that looks like exactly what I was hoping for, hope to see it soon! Looks good so far, UI looks good.
If I had to give feedback I'd say maybe make it possible to go in between specific points for precision editing. For example your speed is 2x, assuming the dot before is 1x. Should be possible to put the dial anywhere in between there going up in intervals of .5 perhaps?
That's all I got for now but like I said it looks good, hard to truly know what I am looking at without seeing a video or using it myself though

Hey NorthernLaw We are moving forward with the sound editor and I can tell you that yes, you will be able to apply values between points ✨
You'll soon be able to try it out for yourself :)

Juan Bosch Awesome! Can't wait!

Furthermore I think it would be rather beneficial for this to actually change the downloaded sound file if applicable.
For example, if in the future we have the ability to see and edit the sound directory path for Voicemod allowing us to mass transfer sounds to and from our Voicemod Soundboard and we have a specific sound file say an airhorn that has 3 seconds of nothing at the start. We can then edit that within Voicemod to eliminate those 3 seconds. It will also edit the file itself. For this to work flawlessly it would mean the trimming feature is extremely precise and consistent so you can truly see if the sound is going to be what you want, allowing for previews as well, that way you cannot accidentally delete a sound by mistake.
